About Books to Bikes Community Program
The Books to Bikes Community Program was created in 2025 to increase literacy amongst youth in conjunction with their love for riding, encouraging safety, community engagement and active transportation. In the US, only 47% of Kindergartens were on reading level in 2023 and the literacy crisis continues to rise as well as the obesity and mental health crisis amongst our children and youth. With this program, Nazeem, a Speech - Language Pathologist, believes that we can improve the quality of life for all children mentally, physically and academically because every child needs a bike and every child should have the opportunity to read. Mission
Our program is designed to inspire and empower youth through literacy while promoting an active lifestyle. Here, you'll have the chance to explore diverse literature, engage in healthy sports with safety, and learn valuable life skills. Together, we can foster a sense of community, creativity, and camaraderie by promoting literacy, safety and sportsmanship!

Vision
The Vision of Books to Bikes Community Program is to encourage literacy amongst American youth, build community, create a fun way to exercise and make American youth mentally and physically healthy. Starting Summer 2025 students will required to read three books and write a summary regarding each book reading and submit before receiving a bike. To sign up please fill out the form below.
